Separately, SSP is conducting market research via a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) to identify firms capable of supporting the 015 Power Converter Modernization. This SSN seeks to determine industry interest and capability for potential future competitive opportunities or subcontracting.
Scope of Work
The effort involves supporting the 015 component modernization, encompassing turnaround planning for currently deployed assets, conducting In-Progress Reviews (IPRs) with all relevant stakeholders, ordering necessary parts and materials, and executing the initial production build upgrade and test. This work must adhere to OD 71961, Program Plan for the 015 Power Converter Refresh Plan.
Specific deliverables include the build, inspection, test, and delivery of:
- Initial Production unit 015 Power Converter Kit.
- US/UK 015 Power Converter Refresh Components Kits.
- US/UK 015 Power Converter Refresh Upgrade Kits.
- US/UK 015 Power Converter Repair Parts Kits.

Eligibility & Submission (for SSN)
SSP encourages small businesses to respond to the SSN. Firms must submit a White Paper (limited to 5 pages, excluding administrative data) demonstrating qualifications and experience. Key requirements include:
- Documented experience with U.S. Navy SSBN Strategic Weapons System (SWS), Fire Control System, Ordnance Directives (ODs), and SLBM/SWS interfaces.
- Relevant experience performing similar efforts with an annual incurred cost/expense of at least $4.5M within the last 5 years, substantiated with contract references.
- Company information, including size, ownership, and a SECRET facility security clearance (or ability to obtain one).
