Statement of Need (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To procure, deliver, install, and provide training for a commercial, state-of-the-art, dual-source laser engraving and cutting system. This system is required to establish an in-house capability for high-precision marking and fabrication to enhance mission-critical maintenance and repair operations for the 12th Maintenance Group (12 MXG).

• Provide one (1) complete Laser Etcher system, including all labor, material, resources, and qualified/certified technicians.

• The system must be built for a professional, high-duty-cycle environment, capable of sustained daily operation.

• Operation will be managed via a standalone host design station not connected to the base network.

• Software must be compatible with industry-standard vector file formats.

  • Compliant with relevant U.S. safety standards for laser products (including CDRH regulations), with safety interlocks, laser radiation shielding, and emergency stop.
  • Operate within acceptable industrial noise levels.

• Delivery: Within 8 weeks after receipt of order.

• Installation: Comprehensive on-site installation.

• Training: Comprehensive on-site operator training covering system operation, safety, maintenance, and software.

• Warranty: Two-year on-site warranty covering all parts, labor, and travel. This warranty takes precedence over the manufacturer's standard commercial warranty if it offers less coverage. Warranty begins upon formal acceptance.

• Help Desk Support: Dedicated phone number and email for rapid response during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST), excluding federal holidays.

• Type of Contract: Firm fixed-price basis.

• Inspection and Acceptance: On-site, FOB destination within 8 weeks after receipt of order.
