The project also requires abandoning the existing well and water treatment building, capping associated lines, and installing new cross-connection control devices (e.g., 2-inch Double Check Valve Assembly), a new 6-inch water meter, an air release valve, and a flushing hydrant. Removal and replacement of existing fencing are also part of the scope. An optional bid item is available for the installation of a 6-inch Reduced Pressure Principle Zone (RPZ) assembly. Contractors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, including ADEQ requirements for PFAS flushing and sampling, and adhering to the Coronado Fire Plan.
