Quick Summary
The Department of the Navy, specifically NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT MECH, is soliciting proposals for the procurement of CWFP Cable Assemblies (NSN: 1355-01-436-4620) for ADCAP F/MK48 Mods 6 and 7 Torpedoes. This is a Solicitation for a firm-fixed-price contract. Proposals are due by May 7, 2026.
Scope of Work
This opportunity requires the provision of MK62 Mod 1 A Cable assemblies, including standard units, First Article (Preproduction) Test Samples, and Production Lot (Periodic) Test Samples. An option line item for FY28 requirements is also included. Detailed specifications and drawings, such as DWG 6894510 Rev H, are referenced.
First Article Testing (FAT) requirements are clarified:
- QTY 2 cable assemblies (6894510) are required for FAT, to be delivered to the testing facility within 360 days of contract award. Government testing is estimated to take 240 days.
- Prior to FAT, QTY 5 cable segments (minimum 3 feet each) must be fabricated for tooling and fabrication practice certification. These 5 components are for vendor internal use and inspection only, not delivered to the Government, but an inspection report/Certificate of Conformance must be available for Government verification.
- The contractor is responsible for performing 100% testing for every cable as outlined in Table V of 5894520 and inspecting the QTY 5 cable segments.
- All testing costs are Not Separately Priced (NSP) and must be included in the deliverable unit price for the FAT-required items.
Packaging, Preservation, and Transportation requirements are detailed in Section D, with Inspection and Acceptance requirements in Section E.
