Source Approval & Competition
NAVSUP WSS intends to solicit and negotiate with Sikorsky as the only responsible source. Any firm not currently approved to manufacture this material must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR). The procurement will not be delayed for SAR approval. While this is not a request for competitive proposals, all proposals received within 45 days of the notice publication (by April 17, 2026) will be considered. The Government retains discretion not to compete based on responses. Interested parties may also identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
Additional Notes
UID and Buy American Clauses will apply. The Government intends to use FAR Part 15 procedures and will not use FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items). The RFQ/Solicitation will be posted electronically to NECO.
