Purpose
This notice seeks to identify potential sources with the expertise, capabilities, and experience to manufacture DCSA enclosures. The Government will use responses to determine industry capabilities and potential small business participation for future acquisition strategies. This is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal.
Scope of Work
The requirement involves manufacturing support to produce various fabricated parts for the DCSA enclosures. Key components include:
- Enclosure Weldment, Consolidated Stack (Part No. 201754322-40): Requires fabrication from Aluminum 6061-T6, stainless steel, with specific welding, finishing (chem film, primer, paint), and pressure testing per MIL-STD-108.
- Enclosure Lid Weldment, Consolidated Stack (Part No. 201754323-40): Fabrication from AL 6061-T6, with detailed instructions for welding, finishing, sealing, and testing.
- Wire Pass Through Cover, Consolidated Stack (Part No. 201754322-37): Requires AL 6061-T6, chemical film, epoxy prime, and white polyurethane coating.
- BIOS Battery Bracket, Consolidated Stack (Part No. 201754322-47): Fabrication from AL 5052-H32/FORMED with chem film finish.
- Display Wire Clam Shell, Consolidated Stack (Part No. 201754323-31): Fabrication from AL 6061-T6 with chem film, epoxy primer, and white polyurethane coating.
All manufacturing must adhere to detailed engineering drawings, specifications, dimensions, materials, and military standards (e.g., ASME Y14.5-2009, MIL-STD-130, MIL-HDBK-454, MIL-STD-108). The equipment list specifies a quantity of 5 for each listed item, to be manufactured by an AS9100 Aerospace Certified Manufacturer.
