Quick Summary
The United States Army Contracting Command-Rock Island (ACC-RI), on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems (PM CAS), is conducting market research through this Sources Sought notice. The purpose is to identify capable sources for the Load, Assemble, Pack (LAP) and delivery of 155mm High Explosive (HE) M795 and M1128 Artillery Projectiles. This is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal. Responses are due by June 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM Central Time.
Opportunity Details
This effort focuses on the LAP of two types of 155mm artillery projectiles:
- M795 Projectile: An extended-range HE projectile for fragmentation, blast, and mining, filled with TNT. Government Furnished Material (GFM) may include metal parts, cover band, pallets, lifting plugs, and supplementary charges. Bulk TNT must be contractor-procured.
- M1128 Projectile: An HE projectile utilizing a base bleed for range extension, combining M795 IM effectiveness with M549A1 range. It uses IMX-104 and a PBXN-9 supplementary charge. GFM may include metal parts assembly, IMX-104, meltable fuze plug, PBXN-9, cover bands, base closure, and pallets. The base bleed is Contractor Furnished Material (CFM).
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332993, and the Product and Service Code (PSC) is 1320 (Ammunition, Over 125 Mm).
