Quick Summary
NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia intends to award a sole source contract to The Boeing Company (CAGE: 81205) for one SCREW RF SWITCH (NSN 1R-1680-LLF02N800-P8) for the P-8 aircraft. This presolicitation notice indicates the Government's intent to acquire this spare part from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) due to proprietary data rights and lack of available drawings/data.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for one (1) EA SCREW RF SWITCH, reference number BACS12CK04-18, with delivery FOB Origin, to provide SPARE support for the P-8 aircraft. The Government states it does not own the data or rights to purchase this part from additional sources, justifying the sole source approach under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as supplemented by FAR 6.302.

Response & Evaluation
While the Government intends to negotiate with only one responsible source (Boeing), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation. Submissions received within 45 days of the notice publication will be considered to determine if a competitive procurement is feasible. Firms not already approved to manufacture this material must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR), but the procurement will not be delayed for SAR approval. The acquisition will use FAR Part 15 procedures, applying FAR Part 12 policies for commercial items. UID and Buy American Clauses will apply.
