Sole Source Justification
NAVSUP WSS intends to solicit on a sole source basis with MEGGITT NORTH HOLLYWOOD INC because they are the OEM and the only known source for providing repair support. The Government does not own the data or rights needed to purchase this part from additional sources. The authority cited is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as supplemented by FAR 6.302.
Response & Evaluation
This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice (by March 13, 2026). All proposals received within 45 days after the publication date of this synopsis (by April 12, 2026) will be considered for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Firms not already approved to manufacture this material must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR), but the procurement will not be delayed for SAR approval. The Government intends to acquire these supplies using FAR Part 15 procedures, applying FAR Part 12 policies for commercial items.
