The Government requires two CIS and DCVG surveys for approximately 19,938 linear feet of underground 161kV oil-filled pipeline (System 1) and 3,500 linear feet of underground fuel pipeline (System 2) at Arnold AFB, TN. Key tasks include:

  • Conducting CIS and DCVG surveys adhering to NACE/AMPP standards.
  • Performing Direct Assessment (NACE SP0502), including excavations for pipe coating and condition assessment, and necessary repairs with government approval.
  • Installing red fiberglass markers every 200 feet along underground cables with "WARNING UG 161kV CABLE" text.
  • Submitting repair plans and product information.
  • Preparing a comprehensive Final Assessment Report detailing documentation, repairs, GPS coordinates, root cause analysis, and future maintenance recommendations.
  • Personnel performing corrosion assessment and repair work must be supervised by a NACE/AMPP certified Corrosion Specialist (Level 4), and testing personnel by a NACE/AMPP Level 2 Cathodic Protection Technician.
