• Quantity: NIST is procuring two (2) ovens, each with two side access ports. This updates the solicitation line items.
• Delivery Logistics:
  • NIST does not have a forklift available for unloading.
  • The site can accept a 53-foot trailer.
  • A loading dock is available for delivery.
• Services:
  • Calibration services are not required.
  • Quotations should include delivery and "set in place" services only. NIST will perform the installation.
• Delivery Location: National Institute of Standards and Technology, Shipping and Receiving, 100 Bureau Drive, Building 301, Gaithersburg, MD 20899, Building 226.
• Market Research: NIST identified three potential brand/model numbers that meet specifications during market research.

This Q&A clarifies the required quantity, delivery logistics, and required services. Bidders should ensure their quotes reflect the confirmed quantity of two ovens and include delivery and set-in-place services, but not installation or calibration. The delivery address and trailer acceptance information are also confirmed.

This solicitation is for the procurement of two Standard Laboratory Ovens and associated side access ports for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The ovens are intended for use in the CHIPS Metrology program to cure samples and perform accelerated aging experiments as part of a study on the long-term reliability of polymeric components in advanced packaging for semiconductors. The results will contribute to a public database and reliability models.

• Line Item 0001: Standard Laboratory Oven (Quantity: 2)

  • Must accommodate samples up to 300 mm in diameter.
  • Minimum of two shelves (excluding bottom shelf).
  • Minimum interior volume of 5.0 cubic feet (141.6L).
  • Mechanical convection.
  • Heating capability up to 300 °C.
  • Must include electrical requirements and receptacle.

• Line Item 0002: Side Access Port (Quantity: 2, 1 per oven)

  • Located on the oven side (not rear).
  • Access port size: 1.75" to 3" in diameter.
  • Must include a plug for the port when not in use.

• All items must be new, in original manufacturer's packaging, with all documentation and software.

• Contract Type: Firm-fixed-price purchase order.

• Period of Performance: Four months from the date of award.

• Delivery Date: No later than 16 weeks after receipt of order for ovens; side access ports delivered with ovens.

• Place of Performance/Delivery: NIST Gaithersburg, Building 226.
