Key Requirements & Evaluation

New suppliers require prior qualification by the engineering activity.
- First Article Testing (FAT): Required per FAR 52.290-4 and will be conducted by the Government.
- Production Lot Testing: Required, with conformance tests to be conducted by the Government.
- Quality Assurance: Suppliers must maintain an inspection/quality system acceptable to the Government, in accordance with MIL-I-45208 or ISO 9001/9002.
- Certificate of Conformance (COC)/Acceptance (COA): Required with each SHT material, including test reports and traceability.
- Past Performance: NAVSUP WSS Mechanicsburg will consider past performance in the evaluation (IAW FAR 13.106(a)(2)).
- Marking: Items shall be identified in accordance with MIL-STD-130.
