2022 Transit Bus Program

UPDATE: June 17, 2024 - Under solicitation 47QMCA21R0013, 2022 Transit Bus Program, GSA is announcing the third Open Season period for existing contractors to provide new model year (NMY) information on awarded line items, as well as for these contractors or new interested offerors to propose new models under the 2022 Transit Bus Program.  All models must comply with the Federal Purchase Descriptions as outlined and updated in the solicitation.

GSA will hold a virtual Industry Day on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 9:00am – 10:00am EDT to discuss the Open Season process. All interested parties should attend. Below is the meeting info:

Existing contractors and new interested offerors must submit a list of all new makes/models they intend to submit for consideration via a Google Form issued by Craig Yokum at craig.yokum@gsa.gov no later than August 8, 2024, at 5:00pm EDT. The Google Form will be issued to known interested parties immediately following the Industry Day listed above.

All new interested offerors, as well as existing contract holders who require changes to their log-in roles* are also required to request an AutoBid account no later than August 8, 2024, at 5:00pm EDT by submitting the attached “Request for AutoBid Account” document, complete with all necessary information, to automotiveedi.partnerships@gsa.gov. The subject of that correspondence should read “47QMCA21R0013 - 2022 Transit Bus Program Fall Open Season Request for AutoBid Account.” *Note: new this year, existing contract holders with active AutoBid accounts who do not require changes to their log-in do NOT need to submit this form.

AutoBid will open on September 3, 2024, for all parties who properly requested an AutoBid account.

SPECIAL NOTICE ON STATUS OF SOLICITATION (May 7, 2024): Solicitation 47QMCA21R0013 remains open beyond the initial deadline of November 15, 2021 (Amendment 0005), for Standard Item 888E only. Item 888E is an open line item that allows an offeror to propose any commercially-made motor vehicle incorporating emerging technology, for which there is an existing Federal Standard vehicle category and which conforms to all GSA standards and regulations that pertain to the Government’s motor vehicle requirements.  Note that two new Purchase Descriptions (377K and 377L) for 30' and 35' battery electric buses  have been added to the Program.Please see attached Special Notice and 888E Proposal Template for more information.
