Class Justification and Approval (CJ&A)

This document authorizes and approves the use of other than full and open competition for contract actions supporting the Laser Guided Training Round (LGTR) Program. The authority for this justification expires on 30 September 2028.

• Efforts to Solicit Offers: A Sources Sought notice was issued on SAM.gov on April 04, 2022, with no responses. A synopsis for the LGTR production effort was also posted on SAM.gov on August 22, 2022, with no responses.

• The contracting activity is Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Headquarters.

• The anticipated cost is determined to be fair and reasonable.

NAVAIR currently has no plans to compete future contracts for these supplies/services. NAVAIR will assess feasibility if another potential source emerges.
