Due to external circumstances related to the government shutdown, I've made the decision to delay holding the 2025 Ocean State Workshop. We are rescheduling the event for Tuesday January 27, 2026.

2025 Ocean State Workshop!

Over the past few weeks, our team and our government counterparts at NUWC Division Newport have been working hard to plan the Ocean State Workshop. The focus of Wartime Readiness Planning (WARP) is driving many of our planning discussions, especially as we consider how the current contracting environment will differ from that in a potential future version constrained by many challenges.

The Ocean State Workshop is envisioned to be a collaborative training event, and the agenda will feature the following:

  • Professor Erik Sand of the US Naval War College will be providing a scene setter on the possibilities of (and drivers informing) the existence of a growing anti-access/ area denial environment in his brief, “The Uncommanded Sea”.
  • National and local leaders will provide perspective on WARP considerations, informative to both industry and government contracting teams
  • Our interactive breakout session will allow combined industry-government teams to work on problem sets related to envisioned future challenges.

A full agenda is available on the event page.

Additionally, we are planning an industry Q&A forum to provide industry perspective on anticipated impact areas in furtherance of active collaborative engagement. We kindly request that if you have questions or topics you’d like addressed by the panel, you either provide them during registration or directly in response to this email for our consideration.
