Scope of Work
The contractor will perform hand pile work on approximately 52 acres. Key requirements include treating slash between 2 and 10 inches in diameter and greater than 2 feet in length. Piles must meet specific dimensional requirements (max 14' L x 12' W x 10' H; min 8' L x 7' W x 6' H), eliminate large air spaces, and include "kindling" for prompt ignition. Piles must be constructed adjacent to designated treatment trees, with a 20-foot exclusion buffer around reserve trees and Douglas Firs. All vehicles and equipment must be free of visible soil, plant material, seeds, and roots capable of transporting noxious weeds prior to entering the project area.
