Quick Summary
The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Alaska State Office, is soliciting offers for the 2026 Ikpikpuk Winter Fuel Delivery. This opportunity requires the overland transport and delivery of 1,300 gallons of Jet A Fuel to a remote BLM fuel tank at Ikpikpuk, Alaska. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Small Business. Offers are due by March 6, 2026, at 1700 Alaska Time.
Scope of Work
The primary objective is to arrange and execute the overland delivery of 1,300 gallons of Jet-A fuel to the BLM Ikpikpuk Fuel tank (70° 27.290, -154° 20.071), located approximately 140 miles west of Prudhoe Bay on the North Slope of Alaska. This fuel is critical for supporting helicopter-based field work during the summer of 2026. Key requirements include:
- Fuel Delivery: Transport 1,300 gallons of Jet-A fuel.
- Logistics & Permitting: Obtain all necessary BLM and North Slope Borough authorizations for overland travel within the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska (NPR-A).
- Environmental Compliance: Utilize low ground pressure vehicles to prevent tundra damage.
- Timeliness: Complete delivery before the historical closure of the winter overland travel season, typically around April 15.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and permit stipulations. The Ikpikpuk site is remote, lacking road or fixed-wing aircraft access, requiring travel via private industrial roads, the Community Winter Access Trail, and potentially a spur snow trail. Strict adherence to security and safety protocols for industrial access is mandatory.
