Description: Strategic Systems Program (SSP) intends to award a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) Order under BOA N0003025G1038 to General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), Pittsfield, MA to procure, inspect, and test U.S. and UK Weapon Control System Spares and Special Support equipment spare parts listed as deliverables for the Fire Control System (FCS) Auxiliary System (AS) including the Strategic Weapons System Maintenance Information Network (SWSMIN), Electronic Work Log (EQL), and associated Fire Control Support Equipment. Weapon Control System Spares and Special Support Equipment spare parts shall be procured and delivered in accordance with the applicable Ordnance Directives (ODs) and Technical Program Management processes.
This order is being awarded on a sole source basis in accordance with statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C.3204(a)(1), as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” Negotiations will be conducted with GDMS, Pittsfield, MA. GDMS is the sole manufacturer of the Trident (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and the only source with an in-depth knowledge and expertise and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
