Qualification Requirements
This item requires engineering source approval by the design control activity. Only previously approved sources have been solicited due to unique design capability, data rights, and manufacturing/repair knowledge. The item is flight critical, and technical data is not adequate for full and open competition.
New sources must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. If not an approved source, submit detailed information from the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Source Approval Information Brochures (links provided in the original notice) with your proposal. If a source approval request is pending, submit a copy of the cover letter. Offers lacking required source approval data will not be considered. Award is contingent on the offeror, product, or manufacturer meeting qualification requirements at the time of award, per FAR clause 52.209-1.
Additional Notes
The Government is not using FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) for this solicitation. However, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of the notice publication (by March 26, 2026).
