Scope of Work
This opportunity requires the manufacture and supply of BEARING,BALL,DUPLEX in accordance with MIL-DTL-17931F Military Specification for 'Bearings, Ball, Annular, For Quiet Operation' and other applicable documents. The standard part number is M17931-A011. Key requirements include:
- Qualified Products List (QPL): Only items tested and approved in accordance with qualification requirements will be acceptable. New suppliers must undergo extensive qualification and testing using 'QTP-MIL-B-17931'.
- Source Control: Only Government-approved sources will be considered. Prospective contractors must be qualified by the engineering activity prior to submitting an offer.
- Quality Assurance: Contractor Quality Conformance Inspection and Government Production Lot Test / Verification Inspection are required. An inspection system acceptable to the Government (MIL-I-45208 or ISO 9001/9002) must be maintained.
- Mercury-Free: Materials must be free from metallic mercury and contamination, intended for use on submarines/surface ships.
