The Marine Design Center (MDC) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has issued this solicitation to retain contractor services to finalize engineering, construct, test, and deliver a new deck barge that will be paired with a Government purchased crawler crane to form a crane barge. The completed vessel will be placed in service with the St. Louis District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (CEMVS) and will be used by the District in support of its maintenance mission on the inland navigation system. These specifications are intended to describe the contract design for one crane barge. The principal dimensions of the barge are: Length Molded 240 ft, Beam Molded 60 ft, Molded Depth (@ C.L.) 10 ft 6 in, Maximum Design Draft 6 ft, Camber 6 ft. Contractor will be required to fabricate and deliver the barge to the Government. Delivery and final acceptance will be at the U.S. Army Engineer District; St. Louis Service Base, St. Louis, Missouri. There will be liquidated damages associated with this procurement. Bid guarantee, payment, and performance bonding is required. All amendments to the IFB will be posted to the Sam.gov website. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the website in order to access the solicitation. Offerors are responsible for printing copies of the IFB and any amendments. NAICS code is 336611; Ship Building and Repair. All contractors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
