The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) in Milwaukee, WI is searching for vendors who have the capability to provide, install, and provide training for, a NuTrace Laser and ten (10) Nutrace R+ Scanners, at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. Please also consider any equivalent systems that may meet the salient characteristics below. The vendor shall be responsible for all labor, travel expenses, shipping and handling, and parts needed to perform this request. The result of this market research may contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 332812 - Metal Coating, Engraving (except Jewelry and Silverware), and Allied Services to Manufacturers.
Salient Characteristics for Laser and Scanners:
NuTrace Laser (Product #: NUX20 NG)
i) Must have an enclosed case meeting the following:
Case must be made of metal material
Case must have a framed access door
Door must have protective plexiglass at minimum 5mm thick
Door must also have protective laser glass of at maximum OD 8+ protection
ii) Must include NU-CAD Software
iii) Must have the following controls:
a. ON/OFF master power
b. USB computer interface
c. Foot pedal connector
d. Electric focus adjustment
e. Emergency stop
f. Security Key control
iv) Must include a laptop and accessories for CAD software
v) Must include Class 4 Laser safety glasses
NuTrace R+ Scanner
i) Must be able to read instrument code on any type of surface
ii) Must have a audible and visual successful read alert
iii) Must use a camera and LED light to read matrix on instruments
Laser Etching
i) Etching of current instrumentation
ii) Includes up to 40,000 instruments
Laser Start Up Training
i) Must be provided by Laser Institute of America (LIA)
Maintenance Service
i) Covers the following:
a. Preventative Maintenance (PM)
b. Repairs
c. Shipping costs
d. Loaner use
