This document outlines the technical specifications for a medium production steam flatwork ironing system, including a spreader-feeding machine, steam heated flatwork ironer, and a four-lane combination folder-cross folder with a large piece stacker conveyor. The system is intended for furnishing and installation.

• Spreader-Feeding Machine: Capable of feeding large pieces, meeting production rates of 900 sheets/hour, 900 pillowcases/hour, and 900 surgical wraps/hour (both sizes). Features include color touch screen controls, adjustable speed synchronization, counters at each station, quality grading controls (tears/stains), emergency stop, safety micro switches, clip or clip-less feeding, waxing program, clear Lucite side panels, and production status indicator lights.

• Steam Heated Flatwork Ironer: 2 or 3 large roll, apron-less design with a canopy and power exhaust. Requires a working width for largest flatwork, equal roll pressure, polished chests, flanged pipes, air-vents, adjustable contact pressure, variable roll speed (50-170 fpm), reversing capability, emergency brake, heat radiation reduction canopy, chest insulation, modular construction, and automatic roll pressure reduction. Includes alarms for waxing, low oil, and low air pressure. Requires a spill response kit.

• Folder-Cross Folder with Stacker: Four-lane primary and three cross fold combination. Features color touch screen controls, counters per lane, quality grading controls (rips, tears, stains), emergency stop, reverse jog capability, microprocessor control, and compatibility with ironer speeds. The stacker conveyor handles precise stacking of large pieces up to 20 items.

• System Integration: All components (spreader feeder, ironer, folder-cross folder, stacker) must be inter-locked to form a complete system with integrated emergency stops and quality grading.

• Utilities: Requires 480 volts, 3 phase, 60 cycles. Ethernet connections for remote troubleshooting are required on all system components. Two 50-foot retractable blow-down devices and two 360-degree sphere mirrors are required per system.

• The solicitation (RFQ 36L79726Q0008) will be electronically issued under FAR Part 12.201 Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

• The solicitation will be issued on or about July 2, 2026.

• Tentative closing date is August 4, 2026.

• No paper copies will be available; interested parties must monitor the SAM.gov URL for updates.

This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Commercial Industrial Laundry Equipment for the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Acquisition Center (NAC) is issuing this RFQ.

• Furnish laundry equipment as specified in the attached Technical Specifications.

• Delivery, installation, onsite shakedown, and training are required.

• Delivery timeframe is 310 days from the date of award.

• The VA will award one contract.

• The contract will be awarded to a responsible quoter meeting the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work and Technical Specifications.

• Quotes are being solicited electronically.

• The solicitation will be issued on or about July 7, 2026.
