Sources Sought Announcement

This announcement is for market research to identify potential sources for a boom spray rig tender system on a skid. The Bureau of Reclamation requires a new system to mitigate noxious weeds in the Lake Tschida area, replacing a 31-year-old system. The existing flatbed truck (2011 Dodge Ram 3500) is Government-Furnished Property (GFP). The requirement includes purchasing a new skid-mounted system, removing and disposing of the old system, and installing the new one onto the GFP. All components must be herbicide chemical resistant. Vendors must provide labor, equipment, parts, and materials. Service maintenance is required within 300 miles of Elgin, North Dakota.

Boom Spray Rig System on a Skid:

• 45-foot, 3-point hydraulic folding boom sprayer with 20" nozzle spacing and drip-free nozzles.
• Specific components listed, including TeeJet electric control valves, check valve nozzle bodies, regulating valves, diaphragm/centrifugal pump with a permanent magnet motor, strainer, gas engine (5.5 HP Honda GX160 or equivalent), dry pressure regulator, and a 5-section control.
• 300-gallon UV resistant tank with drain.
• 200-foot 1½ diameter hose with a manual hose reel.
• Adjustable pattern spray wand.
• Skid must fit on a 92" x 114" utility truck bed with a welded steel frame.
• Standard industry commercial warranties.

Installation:

• Removal and disposal of the old spray system from the GFP.
• Installation of the new spray system onto the GFP, including electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, secure skid mount, and PTO systems.

Verification and Testing:

• Appointment for inspection before delivery.

• Ensuring all components function properly and the system is ready for field operations.

• Anticipated award will result in a Firm-Fixed-Price contract.

• Delivery of the GFP to the vendor will be within 300 miles of Elgin, North Dakota. Anticipated delivery is 90 calendar days after receipt of award.

• This is NOT a solicitation for proposals/quotes. No contract will be awarded as a result of this notice.
