Scope of Work
The requirement is for a replacement forklift with a minimum 10,000 lb capacity at a 24” load center. Key specifications include a turbocharged diesel engine (Tier 4 emissions without DPF/ReGen), tilt steering, grab bar, electronic direction control, integrated gauge display, diagnostic warnings, maximum height of 91”, two forward speeds, air-filled tires, 72” long forks, electronic backup alarm, deluxe lighting package, strobe warning light, dual panoramic mirror, and a four-function mast (lift/lower, tilt, side shift, hydraulic fork width adjustment). Only new equipment is permitted, and it must include training for grounds department staff at no additional cost. A minimum 12-month full warranty is required, and consideration will be given for trade-in of the facility's current forklift. Delivery and installation are required at the Colmery O’Neil VAMC in Topeka, KS. The vendor must ensure an available dealer for the equipment brand is within 30 miles of the campus for service and parts, and be part of the VA’s approved vendor network.
