The government requires one handheld 3D Mapping Laser Scanner to support construction progress tracking, space management, and precise documentation at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veteran's Hospital. This market research will inform future acquisition decisions.
Key Requirements / Deliverables
- 3D Mapping Laser Scanner: Mobile, wireless, suitable for indoor/outdoor use, capable of capturing at least 400,000 points/second, scanning outdoors up to 80 feet, and providing point-and-shoot details. Accuracy must be within 1/16" for a 120 SF room in 30 seconds, maintaining dimensions within +/- 10 mm at a normal walking pace. Must feature a high-resolution camera (12MP+), 90x120 degree coverage, rolling shutter, 360-degree horizontal scans, and vertical scans >= 270 degrees. Panoramic scans require >= 4.8MP resolution and 300x135 degree coverage with a global shutter. Must allow deletion of partial scans and include a transportation case.
- Batteries: Three (3) rechargeable batteries, each with at least 30 minutes of scanning life, and a bulk charger.
- Software: VA Technical Reference Model (VA TRM) approved software for data transfer and modeling, compatible with Revit and AutoCAD. Must convert point clouds to usable formats for space planning, mapping, furniture planning, and documenting behind-wall conditions. Software requires a perpetual, network-shareable license for multiple users (not concurrent). Scanner must support a minimum of 24 hours of scanning in internal data storage.
- Warranty: A 5-Year Customer Care plan for the scanner and a 1-Year Customer Care plan for the software.
- Training: For Facilities Management staff on scanner and software usage/maintenance, to be completed within five (5) business days of delivery, including all travel expenses. Virtual sessions must be recorded.
