Purpose & Scope
This solicitation (RFQ 36C25526Q0325) seeks a handheld 3D Mapping Laser Scanner system to enhance the Facilities Management Department's capabilities. The system will support critical functions such as tracking construction progress, managing facility space, and creating precise documentation of building conditions.
Key Requirements
The required system includes:
- 3D Mapping Laser Scanner: Must be mobile, wireless, operate in various lighting, capture a minimum of 400,000 points per second, scan outdoors up to 80 feet, include a point-and-shoot system, deliver 1/16" accuracy for a 120 SF room in 30 seconds, maintain dimensions within +/- 10 mm, feature a 12MP+ high-resolution camera, 90x120 degree coverage, rolling shutter, 360-degree horizontal scans, >= 270-degree vertical scans, panoramic scans with >= 4.8 MP resolution and 300x135 degree coverage, allow scan deletion, and include a transportation case.
- Batteries: Three rechargeable batteries and a bulk charger, each providing at least 30 minutes of operation.
- Software: Must be VA Technical Reference Model v26.1 approved, compatible with Revit and AutoCAD, capable of converting point clouds to solid surfaces for space planning, mapping, furniture planning, and documenting behind-wall conditions. It requires a perpetual license, network-shareable access for multiple non-concurrent users, support for at least 24 hours of scanning in internal data storage (compressed), user-friendliness, and USB 3.0 data transfer.
- Warranty: A 5-year Customer Care plan for the scanner and a 1-year warranty for the software.
- Training: Comprehensive training for Facilities Management staff on usage and maintenance, including recorded virtual sessions and coverage of travel expenses.
