• Quotes can be mailed via USPS, delivered by FEDEX/other carrier, or emailed.

• Emailed quotes should be sent to dtydlacka@bop.gov and cvalderas@bop.gov.

• Faxed quotations and photocopies will not be accepted.

• Hand-carried quotes will be received at the Procurement and Property Department of the Central Administration Building, 5430 Knauth Road, Beaumont, Texas 77705.

• Quotes received after the deadline will be handled per FAR 52.212-1(f).

• All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and include their Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number in their quotes.

• Failure to complete SAM registration may result in elimination from award consideration.

• All communications regarding this RFQ must be in writing to the Contracting Officer. Questions will not be answered by telephone or in person.

• Refer to FAR 52.212-1, "Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items", and any addendum for important instructions.

• Do not discuss quote preparation or technical questions with Government technical personnel.

• Failure to deliver awarded products may result in being determined a non-responsible contractor and removal from the bidder's list.

  • Consists of a poultry thigh and drumstick (attached), with a portion of the back attached.
  • Portion size: Not smaller than 12 ounces, not to exceed 16 ounces.
  • Packaging: Poly bag boxes with polyethylene-film bags (minimum 2 mil thickness) to prevent dehydration and freezer burn.
  • Prohibitions: Products labeled with "under religious exemption" will be refused. Portion sizes over 16 ounces will be refused.

• Item 2: Chicken, Boneless, Skinless, Thigh, Meat, Raw, Frozen

  • A quality per USDA standards (AMS 70.200 et seq).
  • Must be free of cartilage, fat, tendons, blood clots, bruises, cuts, tears, and holes.
  • May be diced; diced portions must be intact, not mutilated, and relatively uniform in size and shape.
  • Packaging: Poly bag boxes with polyethylene-film bags (minimum 2 mil thickness).
  • Prohibitions: Products labeled with "under religious exemption" will be refused.

• Item 3: Chicken, Filet, 4-5 oz, Whole Muscle or Chunked and formed, 1/2 inch cube or greater

  • Meets 9 CFR § 381.171(f).
  • No mechanically separated chicken, previously cooked chicken meat, or MSG.
  • 100% white meat, breaded (CID A-A-20276A, Type VI, Style A or B).
  • Individually Quick Frozen (IQF).
  • Vegetable oil used for frying medium.
  • Combined batter and breading not to exceed 30% by weight.
  • Ingredients must be listed in order of predominance.
  • Prohibitions: Manufacturer's letters will not be accepted in lieu of labeling. Size of patty to be uniformed.

• Item 4: Chicken, Ground, Raw, (Not Mechanically Separated), Bulk, Frozen

  • Fat content not to exceed 15%.
  • Delivered cases must be labeled with fat content.
  • Packaging: Must be in sealed bags.
  • Prohibitions: Manufacturer's letters will not be accepted in lieu of labeling. No open bags or packaging. Products produced or labeled with "under religious exemption" will be refused.
