Scope of Work

- Remove and dispose of the existing Carrier 50-ton chiller (Model 30HK-050-D-610) and recover R-22 refrigerant.
- Perform mechanical and electrical tie-ins, integrating the new chiller with the existing Schneider Electric HVAC control system (PLC).
- Conduct startup, testing, and commissioning services.
- Provide in-person training for Reclamation mechanical staff.
- Provide post-installation service, including seasonal inspections for two years, with a 4-hour weekday response time.
- Provide a minimum one-year warranty on all work, parts, and labor.
Salient Characteristics
The new chiller must be water-cooled, 50-ton nominal rating, designed for commercial HVAC with 100% duty cycle, and fit within specific space dimensions (9-ft L x 5-ft W x 6-ft 6-in H on a 5-ft L x 4-ft W x 3-in H concrete pad). Electrical requirements are 460 VAC, 3 phase, 60 Hz, not exceeding 100A maximum overcurrent protection. Refrigerant must comply with ASHRAE Standard 34 (A1 preferred; A2L considered with detection). Noise levels must be 70 dBA or less inside the mechanical room, and energy efficiency must comply with FEMP and ASHRAE Standard 90.1.
