• Waivers/Deviations: Requests for delivery date extensions or waivers/deviations must be submitted with a detailed explanation, justification (demonstrating no impact on quality, form, fit, or function), and supporting technical data for alternate items. Requests without sufficient information will be returned.
• Mercury Exclusion: No mercury or mercury-containing compounds are to be intentionally added or come into direct contact with hardware.
• Quality Assurance: Quality assurance requirements are detailed in the IRPOD. Contractors must maintain an inspection system and make records available to the Government.
• Packaging: Packaging requirements follow MIL-PRF-23199, MIL-DTL-24466 for green poly bags, and cleanliness controls (e.g., MIL-STD-767, MIL-STD-2041). MIL-STD 2073 packaging also applies. Fire retardant packaging is no longer required.

Submission & Compliance

• Pricing Validity: Quotations are valid for 60 days after the closing date, unless otherwise specified.
• Certificate of Compliance: A Certificate of Compliance per DI-MISC-81356 must be submitted at the time of material delivery to NAVSUP-WSS code N9433 for each unique combination of Contract/Purchase Order Number, National Stock Number, and Item Nomenclature.
• DD Form 1423: Detailed instructions are provided for completing DD Form 1423, including explanations for inspection/acceptance codes, distribution statements, submission frequencies, and pricing groups (Group I, II, III, IV).
