The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below.

Background:

The Puget Sound VA Medical Center, located in Seattle, WA is seeking a contractor to provide 7 (Seeven) Brand Name or Equal to TempArmour (Model # BFRV84) Vaccine Refrigerators . The Vaccine Refrigerators must meet all the below listed Salient Characteristics.

Salient Characteristics:

The refrigerators must be able to maintain temperature of 2-8 degrees C for up to 6 days during power outages. It must be able to store 220 boxes of 10-.5ml vials or 70 boxes of 10 single dose syringes. The refrigerator must meet pharmaceutical grade criteria.

Key Features:

Meet requirements for standard 110/115V

Dimensions of 38 x28 x35 , equivalent to 21 sq ft upright model

Must function without back up power supply

Low power consumption

Ability to protect medication for up to 6 days during power outages, maintaining temperature between 2-8C/36-46F

Has organization system, comprehensive with 5 baskets and storage dividers and trays provided

Must not require on call personnel or remote monitoring systems

Must not produce temperature spikes or changes when door is open

Warranty of at least 2 years and 5 years on compressor

Meets CDC and VFC vaccine program requirements and recommendations

Scheduled maintenance not required

Chest style, open top wit lock

Corrosion resistant exterior

Certified and calibrated temperature data logger

This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. However, if there are insufficient Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business responses, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. No sub-contracting opportunity is anticipated. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333415 (1,250 Employees).

After review of the responses to this Sources Sought Announcement, a solicitation may be published on the sam.gov or GSA eBuy websites. Responses to this Sources Sought Announcement will not be considered adequate responses to the solicitation. All interested offerors must respond to the solicitation in addition to responding to this Sources Sought Announcement. Prospective bidders must be authorized re-sellers in order to participate in the solicitation process.

Notice to potential offerors: All offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov.
