This document serves as a notification of an upcoming solicitation for Project # 519-26-100 Replace NFS Coolers and Freezers. This project primary includes the replacement, installation, testing, and integration for all refrigeration components. Furthermore, all refrigeration components will be connected to the JCI (Metasys) Building Management System (BMS) to facilitate monitoring and control of values related to all units as per the VA specifications. The Contractor shall provide all the necessary labor and materials, to complete the installation of the kitchen coolers/freezers within the existing cooler/freezer footprint as per the VA specifications located at the George O Brien VA Medical Center 300 W. Veterans Blvd, Big Spring, Tx 79720. These new systems shall meet or exceed the specification of the units being replaced. A site visit is recommended to confirm all measurements and existing conditions. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications, and drawings of the solicitation (when available) and all applicable local and VA building codes. This project will be procured as 100% set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors with a size standard of $22 million. The magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Contract awardee shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, training, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications & drawings provided. The VA shall issue an RFP on or about September 18, 2025, via Contract Opportunities. A site visit will be scheduled prior to the closing of solicitation, the date, time, and location will be posted in the solicitation.
