This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Exhaust Fan Equipment for the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. The procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services).

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To procure and deliver one specific model of exhaust fan.

• Provide and deliver one Twin City Fan (TCF) Model #: BAE-SW-445, Arrangement 9, motor frame 324T, or equal.

• The fan must meet the following salient characteristics:

  • Minimum 40 HP Motor, Clockwise rotation (CW)
  • 230/460 Voltage, three Phase, 60 Hertz
  • Motor RPM: 1750 – 1850, Clockwise Rotation
  • Fan speed RPM: 950 -1,000
  • Capacity: 28,000 - 29,000 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM)
  • Minimum Operating Static Pressure (SP): 6.2 In H2O (WC)
  • Single Width, Single Inlet (SWSI)
  • Motor position: Left
  • Belt driven
  • Motor shaft grounding Ring
  • Bolted Access door to inspect impeller
  • ¾ - 1 inch Drain Plug
  • Spring isolation dampeners with 1 inch deflection
  • Flanged and punched rectangular outlet – 48.56 inches OD
  • Flanged and punched tube inlet - 46.88 inches OD
  • Extended grease lubrication lines

• Apply an epoxy coating to the inside of the fan housing and the blower wheel, ensuring it does not interfere with normal function.

• Deliveries accepted Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.

• Contractor shall include the Veteran Affairs issued Purchase Order Number on the shipping label or packing list to avoid payment delays.

• Installation will be performed by VA HVAC Technicians.

• Contractor shall provide a cut sheet for the exhaust fan assembly upon contract award.

• Deliveries are not accepted on weekends or federal holidays.

Sources Sought Notice

This is a Sources Sought Announcement for HVAC Exhaust Fan equipment for the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. The purpose is to gather information from interested firms to determine acquisition strategies. No solicitation is currently available, and this notice does not constitute a commitment to procure. Responses will inform potential future solicitation announcements.

• NAICS Code: 333413 (Industrial and Commercial Fan and Blower and Air Purification Equipment Manufacturing), with a size standard of 500 employees. Firms interested should ensure their SAM registration reflects this NAICS code.
• Requirement: HVAC Exhaust Fan equipment.
• Statement of Work: A detailed Statement of Work (SOW) is attached and should be reviewed for specialized requirements.

Interested firms must submit a capability statement demonstrating their experience and ability to provide the required equipment. The statement should include:

• Organization name, UEI number, socio-economic category, address, POC email, website, and phone number.

• Detailed demonstration of capability to meet SOW requirements and expertise.

• Place of manufacture for the equipment.

• Estimated shipping and delivery information (lead time).

• Identification as manufacturer or compliance with the Nonmanufacturer Rule (including relevant CFR citations and authorization agreements).

• Information on whether services can be ordered against existing government contracts (e.g., FSS, GSA).
