Purpose
This Sources Sought notice aims to collect information from interested and capable vendors to finalize the acquisition strategy for replacing end-of-life initial firefighting equipment on the flightline. The government seeks to identify potential sources that can meet the specified requirements for these specialized fire extinguishers. This is not a solicitation, and no contract will be awarded based on responses to this notice.
Scope of Work & Key Requirements
The requirement is for ten (10) new Amerex Model 775, 150-lb wheeled, stored-pressure fire extinguishers. Key specifications include:
- Quantity: Ten (10) units.
- Type: 150-lbs wheeled, stored-pressure fire extinguisher.
- Chemical Agent: Novec 1230 or SF1230 (Novec 1230 is mandatory per Draft SOR).
- Model: Amerex Model 775 (or approved equivalent) with 16-inch wheels, compatible with existing end-user equipment.
- Condition: Must be brand new; refurbished items are not authorized.
- Delivery: To 220 West Ash St, Bldg 843, Maxwell AFB, AL 36112. Contractor is responsible for delivery to base and offloading.
- Warranty: Contractor must provide OEM standard commercial warranty, equipment manuals, literature, and documentation prior to project acceptance.
