This is a synopsis/presolicitation notice issued by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), on behalf of NSWCPD Code 44, Surface IPS and Advanced Power Systems Branch. NSWCPD intends to procure the following services on a Sole Source basis from GE Energy Power Conversion Naval Systems Inc. (CAGE 4YXB0).
- DDG 1000 Class Integrated Power Systems Sustainment Engineering Support
- LHA-6 Class Auxiliary Propulsion System Sustainment Engineering Support
- LHD-8 Class Auxiliary Propulsion System Sustainment Engineering Support
- Field Service Support for DDG-1000 Class, LHA-6 Class and LHD-8
The proposed contract action is for services for which the Govnerment intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)[10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1)], Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1.
