Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This document outlines the requirements for the provision and delivery of a heat exchanger to heat RO water for the GI clinic at the Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLR VAMC).

• Heat Exchanger Specifications:

  • Shell side: Single pass, 106 gpm heated domestic water at 140F supply, 120F return.
  • Tube side: Four-pass unit, heating RO water at 60 gpm, 60F entering water temp, 95F leaving temp.
  • Rated at 125 psi, constructed per ASME codes.
  • Shell material: Steel with flanged opening.
  • Head construction: 316L stainless steel, four pass coil head.
  • Tube sheet: 316L stainless steel.
  • Coil: "U" bend, ¼" OD, x 18 BWG 316L stainless steel.
  • Gaskets: Garlock.
  • Overall dimensions: 12” diameter and 48" in length.

• Warranty: One year on parts for a single supply event, unless an extended warranty is provided.

• The heat exchanger must meet the specified performance parameters.

• Contract service must conform to OSHA, VA regulations, and manufacturer's recommendations.

• Delivery location: RLR VAMC premises, as specified by Mr. Doug Campbell.

• Hours of Coverage: Contractor will respond by phone within normal business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EDT, M-F) at no additional charge.

• Vendor must provide all coverages and benefits normally given in their commercial service and support agreements.

• Documentation required: Certified drawings of the heat exchanger with a parts list for replaceable parts.

• Reporting: Contractor shall log in with Mr. Douglas Campbell upon arrival at VA receiving point.

• On-site personnel (FSE) must wear visible identification (name, position, trade name).

• Parking: Contractor is responsible for parking in designated areas; VA will not reimburse for violations.

• Smoking is prohibited inside VA buildings.

• Possession of weapons is prohibited.

• Violations of VA regulations may result in citation.

• C&A requirements and Security Accreditation Package are not required.
