- Mandatory IRPOD Review: Vendors must review the Individual Repair Part Ordering Data (IRPOD) available at the BPMI site.

In case of conflict, amendments take precedence, followed by the schedule of supplies, terms and conditions, IRPOD/master procurement specification, STRs, drawings, and then specifications.
- Waivers/Deviations: Requests for waivers or deviations from technical requirements or delivery dates must be submitted in advance with full justification, demonstrating no impact on quality, form, fit, or function, and include supporting technical data for alternate items. These requests are processed through the Government Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) to the Post Award PCO.
- Quality Assurance: Quality assurance requirements are detailed in the IRPOD. Contractors must maintain an inspection system acceptable to the Government and keep complete inspection records.
- Packaging: Specific packaging requirements are outlined, including clarifications for MIL-PRF-23199 and MIL-DTL-24466 green poly bags. Fire retardant packaging is no longer required. MIL-STD 2073 packaging applies.
- Mercury Exclusion: Mercury or mercury-containing compounds are prohibited from intentional addition or direct contact with hardware/supplies.
- Deliverables: A Certificate of Compliance per DI-MISC-81356 is required at the time of material delivery to NAVSUP-WSS code N9433 for each unique combination of Contract/Purchase Order Number, National Stock Number, and Item Nomenclature.
