Quick Summary
NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia intends to award a five-year repair requirements contract for a Heat Exchanger, AIRC. This is planned as a sole-source acquisition under 10 USC 3204(a)(1) due to the item being a Critical Safety Item (CSI) and only one responsible source (BOYD CORPORATION, Cage: 11245) currently approved. The purpose of this synopsis is to allow potential vendors to submit capability statements within a 15-day window. The forthcoming solicitation is expected to be issued on April 15, 2026, with responses due by May 15, 2026.
Scope of Work
This opportunity covers the repair and/or modification of specific heat exchanger assemblies. The item is designated as a Critical Safety Item (CSI), requiring Government source approval. The Navy currently lacks the necessary data, test equipment, and specifications for repair. The repairable assemblies are Government Property and subject to World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. Item Unique Identification (IUID) requirements will apply.
