Contractor to ensure all work adheres to all specs provided in addition to all local, national, federal, and VA standards, specs, and guidelines. Before commencing construction, contractor is to provide an Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) plan for approval by VA Infection Control team. Infection Control severity levels will be taken from the ICRA’s enclosed in the bid documents, not the AE’s architectural drawings. Contractor also to phase work as necessary to ensure limited disruptions to veterans and VA staff. Any new penetrations made or existing penetrations in walls and/or ceilings found during construction must be fire caulked and sealed.
Offerors are to verify field conditions with a pre-bid site walk and (Requests for Information (RFI’s).
All construction work shall be completed during normal work hours, 7:30am-4:00pm. If off-hours and/or weekend work is required, it will be communicated and approved by the VA Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) in advance. Construction Period Services are to be provided by the Design A/E of record, Spees Design build, LLC.
