Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Draining, cleaning, and disposing of contents from three specific ballast tanks (4-242-0-W, 4-228-1-W, 4-228-2-W), each containing approximately 300 gallons of seawater and/or gray water.
- Providing a Marine Chemist for gas-freeing the tanks.
- Supplying necessary hardware, gaskets for tank covers, an air compressor, and tanks for fluid storage/disposal.
- Removing all fluids and residues in compliance with Federal, state, and local regulations.
- Cleaning interior surfaces to remove sediment, sludge, and fungal growth without damaging tank coatings.
- Ensuring compartments remain open for at least 24 hours post-repairs and coordinating closure with a Coast Guard Inspector.
