Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This SOW details the requirements for renewing the designated MK38 Gun foundation and associated brackets on the forward 01 deck of the CGC VIGOROUS.

• Removal: Crop and remove existing gussets on the MK 38 foundation and gun mounting ring as designated.

• Fabrication: Fabricate new steel MK 38 foundation ring and brackets/gussets according to specified Coast Guard Drawings.

• Installation: Install the new foundation ring and brackets/gussets using the templated ship's configuration and specified drawings.

• Leveling: Ensure the new foundation ring is leveled to a flatness tolerance of 0.03 inches.

• Preservation: Prepare and coat all new and disturbed surfaces to match existing adjacent surfaces.

• Boundary Test: Verify the integrity of all affected boundaries using methods described in SFLC Std Spec 0740, Appendix C.

• Operational Test: After repairs, test and demonstrate that all disturbed, used, repaired, altered, or installed items are in satisfactory operating condition in the presence of the Coast Guard Inspector.

• Place of Performance: Onboard the CGC VIGOROUS, 4000 Coast Guard Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23703.

• Period of Performance: Primary: May 18, 2026 - May 29, 2026; Secondary: May 25, 2026 - June 5, 2026.

• Government-Furnished Property: None.

• Protective Measures: Contractor must furnish and install all protective measures per SFLC Std Spec 0000.

• Interferences: Contractor must handle interferences (e.g., non-skid deck covering, aluminum grating, MK 38 Gun, insulation, berthing racks, ventilation, piping, wiring) per SFLC Std Spec 0000.

• References: Work must adhere to specified Coast Guard Drawings and SFLC Standard Specifications (0000, 0740, 6310) and NAVSEA Drawing 6086267.
