The CCMCK is a temporary weapon conversion system allowing the use of low-velocity, non-lethal marking ammunition at a minimum engagement distance of five feet, precluding the firing of standard service ammunition. The marking compound is water-soluble and leaves a visible impact for assessing simulated lethality. Manufacturing must adhere to Military Performance Specifications (P-SPECs) MIL-PRF-32313 and MIL-PRF-32315.
