Quick Summary
The Department of the Navy / NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support has issued a pre-solicitation synopsis for the repair and/or modification of specific items listed in Attachment A. This requirement is identified as sole source to Mercury Mission Systems (CAGE 0AZ36), the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), due to their exclusive repair capability and proprietary data. The Government intends to establish a Repair Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA).
Scope of Work
The effort involves the repair and/or modification of spare repairable assemblies, which are Government Property. The Government does not possess the necessary data to perform these repairs, making Mercury Mission Systems the only known source with full repair capability and design control. The items fall under Product Service Code 5836 (Video Recording And Reproducing Equipment).

Source Approval Process
Alternate sources must qualify in accordance with the design control activity’s procedures and obtain Government source approval prior to contract award. Companies not currently approved must submit information detailed in the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair. Offers failing to provide required source approval data will not be considered. The Government reserves the right to proceed with the sole source award if new source approval cannot be processed in time to meet Fleet support needs.
