Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for producing a Complete Connector Assembly in accordance with Naval Ordnance Systems Command Drawing LD162875 and Military Specification MIL-C-82620, incorporating revisions from ECP 82.357. The material's critical nature necessitates stringent control procedures to prevent failure, injury, or loss of vital shipboard systems. Key requirements include:
- First Article Approval (Government Testing): Delivery of four destructive test units to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
- Material Specifications: Adherence to QQ-N-286 for specific parts, with detailed chemical and mechanical analysis.
- Testing & Certification: Mandatory certifications for Non-Destructive Tests, Acceptance Tests, Ultrasonic Inspection, and Dye Penetrant Inspection.
- Quality System: Maintenance of a quality system compliant with ISO-9001 (or MIL-I-45208) and calibration system requirements of ISO-10012 (or MIL-STD-45662).
- Traceability: Strict material traceability and certification requirements for all Level I/SUBSAFE materials, including electronic signatures on certification documents.
