Scope of Work
This solicitation is for the procurement of commercial aircraft components in accordance with FAR Part 12. Offerors must provide items currently in production or previously offered commercially, meeting the Government's form, fit, and function requirements. Key requirements include:
- Commercial Item Determination: Documentation supporting commerciality (e.g., product descriptions, sales history, catalog pricing).
- Technical Requirements: Submissions must include datasheets, drawings, or specifications demonstrating compliance. Deviations must be clearly identified and justified.
- Certification & Traceability: Components must be new, unused, conform to commercial standards, and include traceability documentation from the original manufacturer. An FAA Form 8130-3 Authorized Release Certificate is mandatory for all delivered components, issued by an FAA-approved production approval holder.
- Delivery & Packaging: Standard commercial practices, traceable shipments with packing lists.
- Warranty & Support: Standard commercial warranty, at least equal to those provided to commercial customers, including workmanship and replacement parts. Technical support must be available during the warranty period.
- Marking & Labeling: Components must be labeled with part number, manufacturer's name/CAGE code, and lot/serial number.
