Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

The objective of this contract is to purchase and install 16 transformers at the Carl T. Hayden Medical Center to replace antiquated units that are running hot and at risk of failure.

• Purchase and installation of transformers:
  • 4 each of 75 KVA pad mounted transformers
  • 6 each of 45 KVA pad mounted transformers
  • 6 each of 30 KVA pad mounted transformers
• All transformers must have COPPER (CU) windings, be 3 phase, 60 hz, with a primary voltage of Delta 480 volts and a secondary voltage of 208 Y/120V.
• Specific primary and secondary current ratings are detailed for each KVA size.
• All transformers must be NEMA Class ANN Dry Type and NEMA Type K.

Transformers must be of high quality with proven high performance, long-service life, and environmental compatibility.

• Period of Performance: 90 days after contract award.

• Place of Performance: Carl T. Hayden Medical Center, Phoenix, AZ.

• All questions or concerns are to be addressed to the VA Project Engineer (COR) in the ‘REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FORMAT’.

• Contractor personnel may require access to VA facility/equipment but will not access VHA information systems or sensitive data.

• VA Privacy Training (VA20939) must be completed annually by all contract personnel performing services at VA facilities for two or more consecutive days. Proof of training must be provided to COR upon request.

Sources Sought Notice

This notice is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 22 (NCO 22) to gather information on potential sources for Brand Name or Equal KVA Transformers for the VA San Diego Healthcare System. The government is conducting market research to determine if a set-aside for Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Small Businesses is appropriate. A determination to compete the action is solely at the government's discretion.

• The requirement is for Brand Name or Equal KVA Transformers.
