Source Approval Process
Any alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity’s procedures and receive Government engineering activity approval. Government source approval is required prior to contract award. If not an approved source, submit information detailed in the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair (available at https://www.navsup.navy.mil/navsup/ourteam/navicp/businessoops). Offers failing to provide required source approval data will not be considered. The Government reserves the right to proceed with approved sources if new source approval delays cannot meet Fleet support needs.
