Key Technical Requirements
Contractors must adhere to specific design, manufacture, and performance requirements outlined in drawing 5893729. Marking must comply with MIL-STD-129 and MIL-STD-130. Configuration control is governed by MIL-STD-973. The materials supplied must be mercury-free, and a Government Security Clearance is required. Production Lot Approval (Contractor Testing) is mandatory, and serialization of each cable assembly is required, with serial numbers obtained from NUWC Newport.
Quality Assurance & Special Conditions
The quality system must be acceptable to the Government, in accordance with ISO 9001, though MIL-I-45208 is also permitted. The contractor is responsible for all inspection requirements and maintaining records. A one-year warranty from the date of delivery is required. Notably, OTSI (CAGE: 0F1X1) is waived from all CDRL requirements, including Production Lot Testing (PLT) and First Article Testing (FAT). Access to drawings needs to be requested on SAM.gov, followed by an email to the Point of Contact.
