Quick Summary
The Department of the Navy, specifically NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT MECH, has issued a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the repair and/or modification of POWER SUPPLIES (NSN 7HH 6130-01-504-4951). This requirement is being processed under Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities (EAF). The contract will be issued bilaterally, with an option for additional quantities. Quotations are due by close of business on April 20, 2026.
Scope of Work
This opportunity involves the teardown, evaluation, repair, and/or modification of POWER SUPPLIES. Key technical requirements are detailed in Sections C, D, E, and associated attachments of the RFQ. Packaging must comply with MIL-STD-2073. An option provision is included for an additional quantity up to 100% of the base item, valid for 365 days post-award, for which pricing is also requested.
Contract Details
The resulting contract will be a bilateral agreement requiring contractor written acceptance. The period of performance for induction is one year from the order date, with repair turn-around-time (RTAT) commencing upon receipt of the item at the contractor's plant. Monetary limitations apply to repair purchase orders, with firm fixed prices to be established via modification after agreement. Beyond Economical Repair (BER) criteria are set at 100% of the new item's acquisition price. A one-year warranty is required on all parts furnished or work performed.
Submission & Evaluation
Quotations must be submitted by April 20, 2026. Offerors must provide pricing for both the base item and the option quantity, including the cost of new (actual or estimated) items for evaluation. Quotes should specify any exceptions to requirements such as MIL-STD Packaging, MIL-STD Labeling, Inspection & Acceptance locations, Packaging House, and surplus materials. Proposed RTAT and capacity constraints must also be referenced. If not the Original End Manufacturer (OEM), a signed letter of authorization as a distributor is required.
Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer is technically acceptable and represents the lowest priced offer. However, past performance is considered more important than price in the evaluation.
Eligibility / Set-Aside
No specific set-aside designation is explicitly stated in the RFQ, though it is a Request for Quotations which may be open to small businesses.
