DLA Aviation Philadelphia is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to manufacture the items as specified within this document.
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source or a limited number of responsible sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit for the procurement of: NSN 6130-01-440-7591, P/N 9018869-1, Power Supply, and the F-18 Aircraft the item is used on or supports. (If procuring multiple items, see attached listing). The Government does not possess the data necessary to perform the required manufacture of the item.
BUYER MUST DETERMINE IF THE TRADE AGREEMENTS ACT (TAA) IS APPLICABLE BY CHECKING DFARS 225.401-70 for applicable Federal Supply Groups.
The TAA is applicable to the proposed acquisition if an item’s FSG (the first two digits of the subject item NSN) is contained in the list at DFARS 225.401-70.
If it is determined that one or more of the NSNs are subject to the TAA, the following statement shall be added, One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the Free Trade Agreements Act and/or the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements.
All responsible sources may express their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after the date of publication of this Sources Sought Notice may be considered by the Government.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Only approved sources will be solicited, and source approval may be required. DLA Aviation Philadelphia will not delay award while source approval is pending.
The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal, the information detailed in Source Approval Information Brochure for Spares.
